Aryna Sabalenka started the protection of her title by beating Sloane Stephens in straight units, qualifying for the 2nd spherical of the Australian Open 2025.
The Belarusian clearly beat the American 6-3 6-2, extending her streak of successes, after the title gained firstly of the 12 months on the Brisbane Worldwide, sending a transparent message to all of the opponents who will attempt to snatch the title from her right here in Melbourne.

I always look at my coach, but I see everyone. For me it’s important. Sometimes I just want to look at my boyfriend for support, for example. Four seats are not enough, because I have a lot of coaches.”
The Belarusian tennis participant then concluded by telling what was the largest lesson of her 2024.
“The biggest lesson I learned last year is that you shouldn’t focus on defending your title or writing your name in tennis history. The key is to focus on yourself and do your best,” she defined.
